The rocaille scroll base with gilt highlights. To the front a triple fleur-de-lis oval cartouche Coat of arms of the Kings of France.

Volkstedt porcelain manufactory sited in Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany, was the earliest porcelain manufactory in Thuringia. It was in business as the "Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory" The porcelain factory was founded in 1760 by the porcelain maker Georg Heinrich Macheleid (1723 -1801) Volkstedt gained a reputation for its finely painted and carefully modelled porcelain figures that it holds for collectors today.
