A stunning Meissen child figure just in time for spring! This 19th Century porcelain piece depicts a younger boy feeding a small dog.

The pup reaches for a biscuit in the child's hand, while standing on its hind legs. The boy also holds a wicker basket of fruit, possibly oranges. Hand-painted in vibrant chromatics, this striking Meissen/Johansen Roth piece is replete with charm and emotional depth. The boy's lifelike face resembles that of the lovely putti or angels in Botticelli's paintings.

A high end figure with superlative craftsmanship and detail! Excellent, preowned condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Measures approximately 4-1/8"H by 2-1/4 "W (at widest point).
