Vintage Sitzendorf Dresden Porcelain Figurine Seated Lady With Floral Bonnet

  

Presenting a fine quality vintage porcelain figurine produced by the quality German makers Sitzendorf of Dresden. This delightful freestanding figurine depicts an elegant lady dressed in period costume. The seated lady holds a beautifully modelled flower in one hand while resting her stylish flower adorned bonnet upon her lap. This fine porcelain figurine has been masterfully hand painted with exceptional attention to detail.

Her vibrant orange floral patterned skirt detailed with glistening gilt gold is exceptionally attractive. The white porcelain base is beautifully decorated with elegant gilt gold scrolls and delicate relief flowers.

SIZE: This delightful piece stands approx 125mms tall, measures 70mms in length and 70mms in width. CONDITION: This piece is presented in good vintage condition with just a few small chips to the applied relief flowers and leaves noticeable only on close examination. There is one loss to a the leaf surrounding the flower in the ladies hair, a small small loss to the petals of the orange flower on the base and another to the blue flower on her bonnet.

This fine example presents exceptionally well despite the minor losses. MARKS: This piece is beautifully marked to the base with a "crowned S" Sitzendorf mark as indicated in the images. A fine addition to any Sitzendorf or quality porcelain figurine collection. A wonderfully elegant feature for any traditionally styled home.
