The name given to the figurines most likely derives from leap dances developed by the Moors which were later performed at the major European courts. Figurines beautifully carved from prestigious wood and incredibly detailed in polychrome finish richly gildt decorated. The Moor has repair on right hand, loss of paint, gildt loss. The Oriental has chip on the one of the fingers on right hand, gildt loss. The Magician has gildt loss, paint loss on the base.
