Vintage German Candy Container Snowman With Red Top Hat

  

Wonderful Snowman Figure features: a red foil Top Hat; painted facial features; cute red berry nose; faded silk bow at neck; attached twig arms; felt red buttons. Made of a cardboard covered with plaster. Body Covered in Venetian Dew.

Figure comes apart in the middle to reveal a secret compartment for notes, candy, small gifts, jewelry, etc. Snowman measures approximately 6.5" tall x 3" wide, opening for candy container is 2.5 wide. Wear consistent with age: missing considerable Venetian Dew; several places where plaster has come off cardboard; dent in hat; foil has come off most of red hat; missing'berry' left hand p; faded silk bow at neck.
