Vintage 1957 Schaubach Kunst / Goebel Porcelain Ballerina Figurine Germany

  
A glamorous porcelain ballerina figurine manufactured by Goebel and designed by Heinz Schaubach in late 1950's. The figure is marked with the Goebel "Full Bee" mark dating to around 1957, with "Schoubach Kunst" underneath and an impressed mark of "Schau 8/0". According to "The Goebel Collector's Guide: Volume One", Heinz Schaubach released many of his porcelain molds to his good friend Franz Goebel following the nationalization of the Wallendorf porcelain factory in 1953. This figure is the result of Goebel's reissue of Schaubach's molds.

There is a loss of gold paint on one of the ballet shoes, as pictured. Other than that, the ballerina is in amazing condition for its age. Measures approximately 6.5"H x 6 1/8"W at the base. Please refer to pictures for further detail.
