Unusual Antique German Halloween Composition Mache GHOST Candy Container Early

  
Please see all 10 pictures. Offering this fabulously spooky, unusual and macabre antique Halloween Candy Container - features a skull faced wee ghost with a sickle standing atop a tree stump. It is made of composition and cardboard or mache and hand painted. Dating to the early 1900s I believe. The ghost and top of the tree stump lift off to reveal a compartment for candy. The underside of the lid is stamped Germany. Measures about 3.75" tall and the base is 3" wide at the widest. Overall condition is excellent with some nice patina and beautiful stylized paint. No damage that I see anywhere. Comes from a smoke free environment.
