Very Nice Antique Large German Parian Ware Statue. This is features a classical female in long flowing garments holding a tambourine. She leans against a tree stump in her bare feet. You have to look closely to see the fine details from the wavy hair to the texture of her garments.
Parian ware porcelain was introduced about 1840 by the English firm of Copeland & Garrett, in imitation of. Sèvres biscuit (fired but unglazed porcelain). It's name is derived from it's resemblance to parian marble.
This measures 15" High x 6 1/4" Wide at the widest point. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Antique German Statue Figurine. Be sure to scroll down, look left.
