Jewelry: 1910 - 1939 Art Deco. Antique Victorian Spelter Pot Metal Statue German?
We are offering an antique Victorian spelter metal statue figurine done in a bronze finish measuring about 15" tall and 5.5" wide. This piece depicts an early rifleman, most likely from the late 1600s, perhaps from Germany, with metal armor, helm, a sword at his hip, and a bandolier of gunpowder. He is taking one powder horn from the bandolier, staring off into the distance. Could also be a European hunter from the 1900's.
This piece is the perfect addition to any collection. Very good condition with minimal age-related wear. The metal has darkened to a very dark bronze-black with time.
