Antique Meissen style EROS ANGEL CHERUB PUTTI HOLDING HEART The VOIGT BROTHERS
Beautiful Meissen STYLE piece of Eros Angel delivering or leaving with another heart. Stands 8 1/4 " high, base is 3.3/4 " across, Eros stands on a 2 inch high round base having 5 bands of heavily applied gold trim, as pink cape drapes off behind him. Total height is 8 1/4 tall approx.
Blue eyed, rosy lips and cheeks Eros has tremendous detail from his tousled brown hair to his dimpled cheeks, arms, elbows, knees and behind as he stands on a base of green grass and ground. A fig leaf discreetly keeps him covered in front. The heart he is holding is pink. MARKED WITH THE VOIGT BROTHERS MARK, There are no chips, cracks, discoloration, parts missing or sign of repair in the rare and lovely piece.Thank you for looking at this item and please don't hesitate to ask questions, we are happy to help.
