The relief fluting, piercing and shaping of the jug handle, the hand painted flowers, and the intricate hand painted gold designs make this creamer and covered sugar set an exceptional example of Dresden porcelain from the studio of Richard Klem. It bears the mark used between the years 1893 and 1918. Dresden China started up during the "Romantic period" of the 19th century. A blue crown mark was registered by 4 ceramic porcelain decorators in 1883.
At this time Dresden was the European center of the artistic movement and this fine porcelain fit perfectly. All pieces are in immaculate condition with no flaws. The creamer is 4" tall, 4" wide including handle.
3 1/4 wide at base. The sugar is 4" tall including lid and 5" wide including handles. (Sadly, I have had to turn down 2 that were not willing to pay the extra cost).
