Antique Bisque Edwardian Woman Lady Maiden German Figurine Figure Bathing Beauty

  

On offer is this enchanting and special figurine of an Edwardian lady dressed in her ornate gown, ready for the gala. Very nicely molded and finely painted throughout. Beautiful face featuring mauve eye shadow, nicely outlined slightly smiling red lips, and fully blushed cheeks. Gorgeous, long burgundy colored dress embellished with yellow glass beads that are not often seen! She also wears a matching headpiece and gloves.

This lovely lass reminds me of the early bathing beauties, and also of the Schafer & Vater ladies from the turn of the century. She measures 7.75 inches high, and is in very good condition. From what I can see, she retains most of the yellow beads, and has a light scratch to her hair, in the front. It is very much exaggerated in the pictures. Also, I believe she may once have held something in her lower hand, such as a fan.

It is not readily evident, and I base this on other similar figurines I have had in the past that have held a fan in this position. It does not detract from her beauty. A voluptuous and vampy vixen, waiting to make her entrance!
